Family Team Decision-Making (FTDM) and Youth Transition Decision-Making (YTDM) Fundamentals DESCRIPTION: This training targets all contract providers who attend FTDM/YTDM Meetings. The training will provide information on the history of FTDM/YTDM Meetings and the statewide standards required to be met at each meeting. Participants will also be trained on identifying functional strengths for clients, assisting clients and teams in identifying underlying needs for clients, and understanding the safety constructs we work with, with in the Child Welfare System. NOTE: This training curriculum has been specifically written for contract providers who participate in FTDM/YTDM Meetings, NOT those who would like to become facilitators, and will discuss how team participants can work with clients and facilitators to ensure clients have a voice in the own case planning. Please note: Priority seating is provided to staff working within one of the DHS child welfare contracts, including: Community Care; Group Foster Care; Family Safety, Risk, and Permanency (FSRP); Child Welfare Emergency Services (CWES): Aftercare Services; Supervised Apartment Living (SAL); Recruitment, Retention, Training and Support Services (RRTS); Parent Partners; Foster Care Youth Council. If you do not work within one of the child welfare contracts with the State, you may be bumped from the course and placed on a wait list.
