Course Description: This workshop is focused on using trauma informed relationship practices with family/support systems. Programs, providers, and staff will enhance relationship building with families to increase overall engagement and integration of caretakers and support systems during treatment and episodes of care.

Intended Audience: Family Centered Services (FCS) Staff; Recruitment/Retention Training Support Staff (RRTS) Direct Care/Front-Line Staff and Supervisors

Registration will begin at 9:00AM. Training will begin promptly at 9:30AM. This training is scheduled until 12:30PM.

  2. Engagement: Actively participate in discussions and activities. Come prepared and ready to contribute.
  3. Professional Conduct: Treat trainers and fellow participants with respect. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
  4. Confidentiality: Respect the confidentiality of personal or sensitive information shared during the training.
  5. Inclusivity: Contribute to a welcoming, non-discriminatory environment. Respect diverse perspectives.
  6. Technology (For virtual sessions): Ensure you have a stable internet connection and appropriate technology. Keep your camera on and mute your microphone when not speaking.

 

Please note: Priority seating is provided to staff working within one of the current DHS child welfare service contracts, including: Family Centered Services (FCS); Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) / Group Foster Care; Child Welfare Emergency Services (CWES): Aftercare Services; Supervised Apartment Living (SAL); Recruitment, Retention, Training and Support Services (RRTS); Parent Partners; Foster Care Youth Council. If you do not work within one of the current DHS child welfare services contract, you may be bumped from the course and placed on a waitlist.
