Family Focused Meetings This is a 2-day training, scheduled for Thursday, September 19th and Friday, September 20th. Family Focused Meetings (FFM) provide an opportunity to partner with families engaged in the child welfare system. Participants will gain an understanding of the FFM process, which includes social work skills to engage the family with Motivational Interviewing, so potential facilitators can evaluate and utilize FFM meeting facilitation in daily practice.
LOCATION INFO: Registration will begin at 8:30AM. The training will begin promptly at 9am and end at 4pm, both days. Lunch will be on your own. Please note: Priority seating is provided to staff working within one of the current HHS child welfare service contracts, including: Family Centered Services (FCS); Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) / Group Foster Care; Child Welfare Emergency Services (CWES): Aftercare Services; Supervised Apartment Living (SAL); Recruitment, Retention, Training and Support Services (RRTS); Parent Partners; Foster Care Youth Council. If you do not work within one of the current DHS child welfare services contract, you may be bumped from the course and placed on a wait list.
